Dancehall

It's a genre of Jamaican popular music that originated in the late years 1970. Originally, the dancehall was a version of reggae full of "space", unlike the roots style, dominant in the music scene of the island for most of the seventies.
Dancehall dancers use to wear comfortable and light clothing, colorful African style following. Also this style "dread locks" consisting wear long hair and numerous braids, sometimes hidden under a hat made of bright colors.





One of the best dancehall dancers is María José, since she was very young developes a talent for dance, also practicing in gymnastics academies and participating in modern dance, body language and falklore, which years later manifest in the great passion that developes today.
